I love hearing my family gasp in excitement when they walk into the kitchen—pizza has always been one of those meals that brings that kind of joy. This recipe is the ultimate comfort food for movie nights or casual backyard get-togethers with friends.
Made with lean, flavorful ground turkey, a thin, crisp crust, and a generous topping of vegetables, it’s a lighter take on a classic that still feels indulgent. It’s also wonderfully flexible—perfect for a quick weeknight dinner using store-bought dough and sauce, or just as easily made with homemade staples you’ve prepped earlier in the week.
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees farenheit

Heat a non-stick pan to medium heat. Add tablespoon of olive oil and let heat until it simmers. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant (30-45 seconds)
Add the dry spices and stir until aromatic (30 seconds). Don't let them burn.
Add the turkey. Break it up and let it brown before flipping. Keep browning and breaking it up until it is no longer pink, and the meat is coated with the seasoning (4-5 minutes). Remove from heat and set aside.

Add a little flour to your counter. Using a rolling pin, roll out your dough into a 12-14 inch circle depending on how thick or thin you like it. Transfer to a parchment paper.

Spread the pizza sauce, and top with mozzarella, onion and ground turkey.

Transfer to the oven. Bake for 15 minutes until the edges turn golden and the cheese is bubbly.
Serve with a side salad and maybe some herbed potato wedges
